The system currently resolves over 80% of HR policy and legislation queries autonomously, improving efficiency and accessibility for more than 50,000 federal employees.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has been recognised by the World Economic Forum for its HR AI Agent, featured in the report Making Agentic AI Work for Government: A Readiness Framework as a leading example of agentic AI in government.

The HR AI Agent introduces a conversational interface within the federal HR ecosystem, enabling access to more than 130 digital HR services and automating a wide range of employee transactions. The system currently resolves over 80% of HR policy and legislation queries autonomously, improving efficiency and accessibility for more than 50,000 federal employees.

Designed to reduce bureaucratic complexity and reliance on manual processes, the AI agent streamlines high-frequency HR interactions such as policy clarification, service eligibility, and procedural guidance. This allows HR professionals to shift focus toward higher-value activities, including workforce planning and capability development.

Beyond operational efficiency, the initiative highlights the importance of secure system architecture, strong data governance, and human oversight to ensure compliance and protect sensitive employee information.

The recognition underscores the UAE’s broader strategy to accelerate the adoption of advanced AI technologies across government services, enhancing both employee experience and institutional performance while maintaining accountability.

FAHR said the phased deployment of the HR AI Agent demonstrates a practical approach to building an AI-enabled public sector workforce, balancing innovation with governance and long-term sustainability.
