Gulf Bank appoints Hamed Al-Tamimi as Chief Human Resources Officer

Gulf Bank has appointed Hamed Al-Tamimi as Chief Human Resources Officer, as the Kuwaiti bank continues its focus on developing national talent and creating pathways for young professionals to take on senior leadership roles.

Al-Tamimi brings more than 19 years of experience at Gulf Bank, having held positions across Retail Banking, Operations and Human Resources. He most recently served as Acting Chief Human Resources Officer.

His HR experience spans compensation and benefits, HR business partnering, workforce planning and talent acquisition. He also established the bank’s HR Analytics Department and has played a key role in advancing its HR strategy, strengthening organisational capabilities and supporting its long-term business objectives.

Al-Tamimi holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, along with professional certifications from international universities and institutions covering data analytics, operational excellence, compliance and specialised skills development.

Gulf Bank said his promotion reflects its confidence in his experience and capabilities, while reinforcing its commitment to empowering national talent, developing human capital and building an innovative work environment. The bank said the approach supports Kuwait’s vision of developing a knowledge-based economy led by qualified young professionals capable of competing regionally and internationally.
