Raaed Maree joins stc Kuwait as CHRO after Abdulaziz Al-Mathkoor steps down

Abdulaziz Al-Mathkoor, who had taken on the role in December last year, stepped down from the role in June 2025.
stc Kuwait has appointed Raed Nabeel Maree as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, succeeding Abdulaziz Al-Mathkoor, who had taken on the role in December last year.
The appointment is effective from June 2025, but Maree announced the news on LinkedIn yesterday, as he was transitioning from his previous role as CHRO at Touristic Enterprises Company, where he served until the first week of September 2025.
Maree brings nearly two decades of HR leadership experience to his new position. Welcoming him to the leadership role, the company shared, "Raed Maree is widely recognized for his strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and ability to drive impactful transformation within organizations. In his most recent role as Head of HR & Admin at KIBS, Raed led major HR initiatives including the implementation of the HR Business Partner model, a structured onboarding program, and a comprehensive HRIS system. He played a key role in the organization’s five-year strategy development, led restructuring efforts, and introduced 360° assessments, competency frameworks, and performance management systems."
Adding, "Raed is also the founder of Talent Formation, an HR consultancy through which he provided advisory services to leading Kuwaiti companies such as NTEC (National Technology Enterprise Company), MARKAZ, and Arkan Real Estate. He previously held senior leadership roles at Ooredoo Telecom and YIACO Medical, where he led ERP implementations, revamped compensation structures, and strengthened HR’s strategic contribution."
On the academic front, he has completed the Advanced Executive Human Resource Program from Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the Arab Open University, and has earned a mini MBA from a leading management school - INSEAD.

Meanwhile, Al-Mathkoor, who served stc Kuwait for over four years, joined Kuwait Finance House in June 2025 as Executive Manager, HR Planning & Center of Excellence.
Reflecting on his journey at stc Kuwait, he shared, “After four transformative years within the HR & PSS team at stc Kuwait, I'm closing this chapter with immense pride and deep gratitude. It has been a journey defined by growth, resilience, and unwavering achievements. I'm incredibly thankful for the remarkable colleagues, mentors, and partners who made these years not just impactful, but meaningful on a personal and professional level. As I move on to new challenges and opportunities, I remain excited about the road ahead and inspired by the experiences I'm taking with me.”
