UAE to create 30,000 jobs by 2030 through entrepreneurship push

H.H Sheikh Mohammed shared that the initiative aims to strengthen the UAE’s role as a global hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to establish itself as a startup capital, as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has launched a new national campaign,
“The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” today.
The initiative aims to strengthen the UAE’s role as a global hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism is leading the campaign in partnership with the UAE Government Media Office and the UAE Entrepreneurship Council, bringing together more than 50 incubators, accelerators, and partners from both the public and private sectors.
The campaign aims to inspire young Emiratis, support SME growth, and diversify the national economy. Sheikh Mohammed highlighted its goals saying, “Our goal is to train and nurture 10,000 Emirati entrepreneurs, create thousands of new economic opportunities, and raise community awareness on the importance of entrepreneurship as a driver of the future economy.”
The programmes include StartupEmirates.ae, the Entrepreneurship Training Programme, and measures to integrate startups into federal procurement.
“These programmes aim to create 30,000 jobs by 2030, incubate 250 Emirati real estate companies, and licence 500 Emirati tax agents and project managers,” the statement added.
